Over 20 years ago my wonderful talented Mum showed me how to make my first flower and from that moment I never looked back. As a self taught flower artist, the joy in creating a beautiful bloom from a block of clay or florist sugar paste is always a delight.
Each petal and leaf is rolled, cut, dusted and assembled - although an intricate and long process the results are worth it! Everything I create has a flower at the heart of it.
When I came across the lovely setting of Smithbrook Kilns I knew that this was the perfect place to set up a studio, and being a small brick building in a converted brickworks, the name of The Little Brick Studio just seemed so right!
I now make blooms from paper and wafer paper as well as sugar and cold porcelain, and am developing new ideas and ranges all the time, including floral headpieces
Please do pop in to say hello and see my little studio, and while you are here have a coffee (and maybe a slice of cake!) at Bricks restaurant close by. There is loads of free parking as well
